Arrival:

You will meet and greet with one of our office representatives at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport. After arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha for relaxation and overnight stay with bed & breakfast before your safari begins.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our safari representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha town.

Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit and offers beautiful views of Mount Meru. Depending on your arrival time, relax at the lodge and prepare for your upcoming safari adventure.

In the evening, your safari guide will provide a detailed safari briefing about your 5 Days Big Five Tanzania Safari.

Dinner and overnight at Hotel/Lodge in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch boxes.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its giant baobab trees, large elephant herds, and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The Tarangire River attracts animals throughout the year, making the park one of Tanzania’s top safari destinations.

During the game drive, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and a variety of colorful bird species.

Dinner and overnight at Lodge/Tented Camp.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park

After early breakfast, drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with picnic lunch boxes.

The crater is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa and offers excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five including the rare black rhino.

After the crater tour, continue your journey toward Serengeti National Park while enjoying scenic landscapes and Maasai cultural views along the way.

Arrive in Serengeti in the afternoon for an exciting game drive across the endless savannah plains.

Dinner and overnight at Tented Camp/Lodge in Serengeti.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch boxes.

Serengeti is world-famous for its rich wildlife population and the Great Wildebeest Migration. Your experienced safari guide will search for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and large herds of wildebeests across the endless plains.

The Serengeti offers incredible photography opportunities and unforgettable wildlife experiences throughout the day.

Day 5: Serengeti – Arusha

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Arusha with a scenic transfer game drive en route.

Enjoy your final wildlife sightings and breathtaking landscapes as you travel back through the Ngorongoro Highlands toward Arusha town.

Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be transferred to your hotel or airport for your departure flight.

Optional Zanzibar beach holidays and Kilimanjaro trekking extensions can be arranged after the safari.

Budget Accommodation

Safari using affordable Hotels, Lodges, or Camps, comparable to a 1-2 star Hotel. Accommodation is usually located outside the National Park.

Mid-range Accommodation

Safari using medium to large–scale Lodges, tented camps, or Cottage Camps, comparable to a 3-star Hotel

Luxury – Accommodation

Safari using deluxe tented camps or Lodges usually located inside the National Park and comparable to a 4-star hotel. Accommodation is usually located inside the Park.

Luxury+ – Accommodation

Safari using extremely luxurious tented camps or Lodge, usually located in a private wildlife – Viewing area and comparable to a 5-star Hotel. Expect great food, excellent service, top-quality guiding, and gorgeous tents or rooms. Most luxury + properties charge around USD$ 850 to 1850 per person per night!
